Funded by the Ministry of Science, Research and the Arts Baden-Württemberg within the framework of the sustainability financing of projects of the Excellence Initiative II
When the Stuttgart Center for Simulation Science (SC SimTech) was founded in 2015 as a faculty-like center as defined in the Baden-Württemberg Higher Education Act (LHG §40(5)), it was anchored in the Constitutional Charter of the University of Stuttgart.
It forms the institutional and organizational framework for research in the Cluster of Excellence and warrants for the sustainable, long-term presence of Simulation Science in Stuttgart. The Center is authorized to conduct its own doctoral degree program and houses its own study program.
