Congratulations to Emelie Weinhold, a master student in our group, for winning a scholarship sponsored by NHR@FAU that enabled her to visit the second NHR Conference in Darmstadt, where she has presented her poster on "Simulation of DNA origami coupled to lipid vesicles: An implementation in ESPResSo". 

“It was a great opportunity to learn more about HPC and how it is used in other fields. I learned a lot from the other participants and took away interesting things that will help me in conducting my master thesis. It was an exciting and educational experience.” comments Emelie after coming back.

This year’s NHR Conference was specialized in computational engineering, materials science and simulation & AI and the goal is to bring together high-performance computing users and providers of German NHR centers. Next to listening to interesting talks and having informal scientific discussions, the attendees have also extensive possibility to consult the operational teams of the NHR centers.
