SimTech Spotlight Science: The Simulation of the Human Body
Predictive simulations of the human body poses some of the greatest challenges, but also promises great potential. By integrating patient-specific data, we aim to simulate parts of the body on a person specific basis. This is an important step towards a digital human model.
Porous media is everywhere and due to its importance a very important topic in SimTech and the associated Collaborative Research Center SFB 1313. Porous media can be found in many different fields of application, such as ecological, technical and biological systems.
Prof. Andreas Bulling and his team conduct interdisciplinary research on sensing, modelling and also synthesizing human behavior and cognition. Thereby, they contribute directly to the vision of a Digital Human Model.
SimTech Spotlight Science: Simulation of Large Systems
Prof. Miriam Mehl and her team provide algorithms, mathematical methods and software to solve the huge systems of equations involved in today’s simulations.
In order to mark the official start of the Cluster of Excellence EXC 2075 "Data-Integrated Simulation Science", a kick-off had taken place on Thursday, 11th July 2019.
