To provide an additional career stage, we installed independent Junior Research Groups to attract internationally outstanding postdoctoral researchers. Junior Research Group leaders are able to independently supervise and examine dissertation projects. They are guaranteed full access to core facilities and central infrastructures. To complement our research activities, those young scientists have an outstanding early-career track record (typically two years after obtaining a doctorate) and substantial international research experience in fields contributing to the Cluster’s research agenda.
