Doctoral researchers weekend retreat
Since 2009, the doctoral researcher representatives have organised a PhD Weekend/ Weekend Retreat every year. During this weekend, the interdisciplinary cooperation of the doctoral researchers is intensified. The members of GS SimTech can get to know each other better and exchange professional and personal experiences. The event serves (besides the activities of the Society of Simulation Technology e. V.) to build up a sustainable network of PhD students.
Doctoral researchers stays abroad in 2022 and 2023
All doctoral researchers are required to complete a three-month stay abroad. This allows them to establish and maintain international contacts. In 2022 and 2023 they visited universities and research institutes in Australia, USA, Europe, Canada and South Africa.

The Graduate Academy provides support in all academic stages of early career. All doctoral and postdoctoral researchers, habilitation candidates, junior research group leaders, and tenure track professors are members of the Graduate Academy in order to prepare the candidates with optimal conditions for their successful doctoral degree and beyond.
