The colloquium dates for the winter semester 2018/2019 are fixed. The series starts on October 24th with Prof. Dr. Jens Anders and his lecture on "Smart Sensors as Multiphysics Porblems - Why Modeling and Simulations are Crucial for Successful in-Situ Measurements".

On November 28, Prof. Dr. Dominik Obrist from the ATORG Center for Biomedical Engineering Research at the University of Bern will talk about "A finite-difference/finite-element framework for fluid-structure interaction using an immersed boundary method with variational transfer".

Prof. Dr. Jan Martin Nordbotten from the University of Bergen will talk about "Mixed-dimensional modeling and simulation" on January 30th.

We are also very pleased that Prof. Dr. Peter Knabner from the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg will give his lecture in the course of the Argyris Visiting Proessorship on 13 February. The content of his lecture is "Micro-Macro Models for Reactive Flow and Transport Problems in Complex Media".

Further information on the individual presentations can be found here.

If you have any questions about the event, please contact Barbara Teutsch. If you are interested in giving a lecture at the SimTech Colloquium yourself, Mrs. Teutsch will also be happy to help.

All events will take place in the lecture hall 7.01 in the Pfaffenwaldring 7 from 4pm.
