This workshop was established to promote a collaborative exchange of cutting-edge research findings. The aim was to explore common research paths in the field of fundamental mathematical and computational methods. In an interdisciplinary discourse, key topics such as uncertainty quantification, computer-based statistics, data-integrated simulation, high-performance computing, model reduction and surrogate modeling, as well as machine learning tools for simulation, were discussed. (Post-)doctoral researchers had the opportunity to present their current research in short science slams. They presented for eight minutes, followed by a two-minute Q&A session. Patrick Buchfink, a former SimTech student and doctoral researcher at GS SimTech, won the event with a presentation on "Monsters and MORe" (MOR stands for "model order reduction"). The first workshop was held in cooperation with Bosch.
