1. Sinan, where are you from?
I'm from the Northwestern Polytechnical University (NPU) in Xi'an, China. It's an old city with a long history. The famous "Terracotta Warriors" were discovered in Xi'an.
2. What are you doing here and how long will you stay?
I am a Postdoc supported by the Sino-German (CSC-DAAD) Postdoc Scholarship Program. Now I am doing my research in Wolfgang Nowak's group. I started in August 2018 and will stay here for 18 months.
3. What are your research interests?
My research interests include estimating small failure probability, global sensitivity analysis for dynamic models, reliability sensitivity analysis, etc.
4. What topics are you currently working on?
The topic I am currently working on is estimating small failure probability of nonlinear high dimensional systems.
5. How do you like Stuttgart?
I like it here. My colleagues are very nice. They helped me a lot when I came here. The city is also very nice and safe.
