Emergency Child Care

You can get emergency childcare free of charge on two days per semester if your regular childcare is cancelled at short notice (e.g. due to illness of your daycare mother), but you want to work or attend university events. For more information for students and staff see (only in German):

Handling office work and childcare at the same time

You can use a specially furnished, child-friendly office, located in "Haus der Studierenden" 4. floor, room 4.006, next to the SimTech building. It's usable as parent-child room, breastfeeding and changing room, rest room for disabled and chronically ill people as well as for pregnant women. The room may be used by students and employees of the University of Stuttgart.

If you want to go to your office and take your child/children with you, you can use a kidsbox. It unfolds to reveal a range of toys and playful options! Kidsboxes are rather big and on wheels, so you may need some assistance in getting it to your office, especially if you need to use stairs.
