"FAIR Simulation Software"
In 2016, the FAIR research data principles were defined: Research data should be findable, accessible, interoperable, and reusable. While research software has often been categorized as a specific type of research data, this viewpoint disregards the specific characteristics of software. This is why, last year, revised and extended principles specific to research software were published. But how well do these principles fit simulation software? This is the question I want to discuss in the lecture and then zoom into the projects of our group: How do we try to improve interoperability of simulation software by means of the preCICE ecosystem?
