At its general meeting on December 6, 2019, the SimTech Industrial Consortium e. V. has elected a new board of directors.
With effect from January 1, 2020 to December 31, 2022 Prof. Dr.-Ing. Alexander Verl, Institute for Control Engineering of Machine Tools and Manufacturing Unities, and Jun.-Prof. Jörg Fehr, Institute of Engineering and Computational Mechanics, were unanimously elected. Prof. Dr. Claus-Dieter Munz, Institute of Aerodynamics and Gas Dynamics, remains treasurer.
Prof. Verl and Jun.-Prof. Fehr replace the long-time board of directors chaired by SimTech founding director Prof. Wolfgang Ehlers. Both are also active in the "Knowledge Transfer" Committee of the Cluster of Excellence, whose mission is to promote the transfer of groundbreaking ideas from simulation science to industry.
