Information according to Art. 13 DS-GVO on the occasion of the Diversity & Equal Oportunity Survey of the Cluster of Excellence SimTech of the University of Stuttgart

Personal reference

The questionnaire does not collect any data that directly identifies the participants. Depending on the design of the answers given, it may theoretically be possible that a personal reference to a respondent could be established. Since this possibility cannot be completely ruled out, the survey could be personal in individual cases.

For these cases, you will receive the information below. Please note that the rights mentioned below only apply if the person or the response data record can be clearly identified.

Purpose of data processing and consequences of non-disclosure

The Cluster of Excellence SimTech at the University of Stuttgart is conducting the survey to find out in which areas diversity, equality and inclusion can still be promoted and improved by which measures at the Cluster of Excellence SimTech.

Your participation is voluntary, non-participation has no consequences.

Legal basis

You decide voluntarily whether to participate in the survey. The legal basis for this is your consent: Art. 6 (1) lit. a General Data Protection Regulation (DS-GVO), if special categories of data are involved: Art 9 (2) lit. a DS-GVO.

Recipients

The data is accessible exclusively to the Members of the Committee on Diversity & Equal Opportunity EXC SimTech.

Duration of storage

Data will be deleted at the end of three years following the completion of the survey.

Your rights

  • You have the right to receive information from the University of Stuttgart about the data stored about you and/or to have incorrectly stored data corrected.
  • You also have the right to request deletion or restriction of processing or the right to object to processing.
  • You also have the right to obtain the personal data concerning you that you have provided to the University in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format and to have this data transferred directly to another controller, provided that this is technically feasible and does not affect the rights and freedoms of other persons.
  • In addition, you have the right to revoke your consent at any time, whereby the lawfulness of the processing carried out on the basis of the consent until the revocation is not affected.

  • You have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority if you believe that the processing of personal data concerning you violates the law.

The supervisory authority in Baden-Württemberg is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information Baden-Württemberg.
