The Stuttgart Center for Simulation Science invites nominations for the Argyris Visiting Professorship 2026.
With this visiting professorship, SimTech honors outstanding researchers in the field of simulation science and commemorates John Argyris, one of the pioneers of modern simulation methods. The program aims to foster international exchange and bring new impulses to the SimTech community at the University of Stuttgart.
The 2026 call has been updated with a refined focus. Nominations are now explicitly welcome for internationally leading scholars at all career stages, including emerging global leaders. In addition, particular encouragement is given to nominations that strengthen international visibility, long-term collaborations, and strategic partnerships, especially with a view to developing sustainable research networks and future joint funding initiatives.

The selected visiting professor will be invited to the University of Stuttgart for a research stay of three weeks to three months. During the visit, the awardee will deliver the public Argyris Lecture and engage with the SimTech community through additional activities such as lectures, seminars, or exchanges with early-career researchers.
Researchers at universities and non-university research institutions worldwide are invited to submit nominations.
