Study programme Simulation Technology
At the University of Stuttgart the new bachelor’s programme Simulation Technology was launched in the winter term 2010/11. The new course of studies lasts six semesters and is in German. In the first two semesters it provides a wide basic knowledge in major fields of simulation technology: mathematics, engineering sciences, computer science, and natural sciences. From the beginning of the third semester an individual schedule is developed together with a personal mentor for each student. By visiting additional courses from the field of simulation technology the students get insights in the connections between the different specialist disciplines.
Nov 10, 2014 In the framework of the Excellence Initiative of the German state and federal governments, the Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering (Faculty 2) and the Stuttgart Research Centre for Simulation Technology (SRC SimTech) are asking for applications for the W3 Professorship on Computational Continuum Mechanics at the Institute of Applied Mechanics in the lead up to / prior to the retirement of the current Chair (Ehlers).
